The Mumbling
02:57
|
|||
the mumbling in the streets is monotone and numbing
someone wants to break out and leave the dust track running
after choking birds by hand too exhausted from all their humming
sirens and whistles resonate from the walls of unmanned buildings
construction is over this section is further away
planes flap their wings as brides weigh their rings in stone
rotting teeth and melting cheese
a train stops in its tracks
cause a drone felt alone and went looking for home
as the rain came pouring all over
mercury and lead is washed away and the
bare land is seen from the sky
the telephone rings but there's noone to take the call
vending machines full of crusty pipe dreams
melt in another wildfire
a violet torn in a heavy duststorm that took down
the planes and the choppers
the rotator blades bent and stuck in the soil
roots that were burried but barely untouched are pulled out like
cords and cables
a wireless system and a meaningless creature
crouching to hide from the law
taking offence in any comment
seachlights slice the cold spring night
wrinkles under his eyes fulled by the paranoia
a fusion of a fantasy threat
and some real hard-core persecution
they enter the tunnel and loose their signals
the walkie-talkies are useless in here
they light candles and torches
and almost die in the smoke as the coalmine comes to life in flames
almost cause they reach a crossroads
and escape through a sewage canal
small boys and lost toys swim upstream and laugh
at the smell of the dead
limbs that flow freely
one survivor got stuck in a narrowing pipeline
her head underwater but her feet dry
as the sand that was on the river bank

Freak Feathers
04:42
|
|||
Crayon garbage. Nonsense hitherto. Eggplant joystick. Silk-wrapped trampoline. Caterpillar matchbox. Hedgehog hibernation. Claustrophobic ate it all. Freak Feathers. Leatherbound garbage can. Perfect shave afternoon. Let it go. Hamstercage mutual desires.
Had you brough it up earlier we would have been able to talk it over.
I'll be seeing you next Wednesday and I know it won't be easy
because our understanding is demanding.
High tall sly small tremendous specific outdated outnumbered.
Square round, rough tough, tolerant, slim slow, sluggish, afraid, delayed.
Denied, denounced, wrong, strong. Crooked rugged vain.
Drained, drowsy, noisy devilish. Dangerous damp steamy.
Dreamy. Heavy.

Don't Push
05:00
|
|||
Talking tress
and seas full of mush
I spent some time out here just
to get away from the rush
don't push, I'm trying to relax
I'm trying to calm down and to burry my ax
do you like to lay low
well I do too
do you like to lay low
then why this show
concentrate on the fire
take the time and weep yourself
to sleep
sorry
I forgot your name...
is this sad or what?
I don't want to take this test
(I don't need the clarification)
just give me a fire in my guts
don't push, I'm trying to relax
I'm trying to calm down and to burry my ax
in the sand I once dreamed of an ocean
were pity wasn't shitty and life
poetry in motion
this nasty bubble tea got stuck in my straw
and I start to miss the things
that I saw before

Idle Machinery
04:28
|
|||
Although it has mighty errors
and puffes some thick black smoke
while some are convinced it's the devil
others think it's a joke
It looks like it's fallin' to pieces
it's been breaking down from the start
It's huffin' and puffin' and screaming
and ideologists remain dreaming
Although this machine is faulty
and it looks like it's fallin' apart
I'm sure it will run forever
despite all our doubts and all critical thoughts
I'm sure it will run forever
cause this thing is awkwardly clever
Despite all our hopes and all positive thoughts
and all of the fights that people have fought
the motor is ancient and rusty and old
it's the same freaking story that's always been told
Although this machine is faulty
and it looks like it's fallin' apart
I'm sure it will run forever
despite all our doubts and all critical thoughts
